Abstract

This community service aims to implement Ramadhan pedagogical education as a strategic approach to building an adab (Islamic etiquette) ecosystem within families in order to cultivate a resilient generation of Muslim youth. The primary focus of this service addresses a critical gap in contemporary Muslim family life: the erosion of moral and spiritual discipline caused by digital distraction, weakened parental authority, and the absence of systematic Islamic character formation at home. Using a participatory workshop method complemented by mentoring sessions, the activity was conducted over four weeks during the month of Ramadhan involving 45 family units from the Majelis Ta’lim YMBM. The program integrated thematic lectures, structured family discussions, and guided Ramadhan practice journals as instruments of transformation. Results indicate a significant improvement in parental awareness regarding their role as primary educators, as well as a measurable increase in children's compliance with adab-based household routines. Families reported greater engagement in collective worship, improved communication patterns, and stronger commitment to Islamic values in daily conduct. This program demonstrates that Ramadhan, when approached as a pedagogical moment rather than a ritual period, becomes a powerful catalyst for sustainable character formation within the family unit.
