Focus and Scope

JURNAL ABDI GUNA (Online ISSN: ....; Print ISSN: ....) is a peer-reviewed scientific journal published by the Institute for Research and Community Service (LPPM), Politeknik Al Islam. The journal is published biannually in March and September. It provides an academic forum for the dissemination of scholarly works resulting from community service activities that contribute to the empowerment and improvement of society.

The journal primarily focuses on the publication of articles that report the implementation, outcomes, and impacts of community service programs. It emphasizes the application of knowledge, science, technology, and innovation in addressing practical problems and enhancing community welfare through participatory and sustainable approaches.

The scope of JURNAL ABDI GUNA covers, but is not limited to, the following areas:

  1. Health Sciences
    Community-based health interventions, health promotion and prevention, public health education, maternal and child health, nutrition, environmental health, and other health-related community service activities.
  2. Applied Sciences
    The application of science and technology for community empowerment, appropriate technology, engineering and technical solutions, digital transformation, innovation-based services, and entrepreneurship development for society.
  3. Social Sciences and Humanities
    Social empowerment, community development, cultural preservation, social inclusion, legal and civic awareness, economic and institutional strengthening, and other humanities-based community service initiatives.
  4. Education
    Educational outreach, literacy development, teacher and student assistance, learning innovation, curriculum implementation in community contexts, training programs, and other educational community service activities.
