Caring is central to healthcare services, encompassing empathy, focus, and professionalism. Caring enhances patient satisfaction, professionalism, and the quality of service directly. Moreover, compassion reduces anxiety related to sickness, trauma, or transitions in life. This research aimed to investigate nurses' views on caring actions in the maternity unit. This research employed a quantitative descriptive method through a descriptive survey. The population included all 34 nurses in the maternity department, comprising 20 postpartum nurses and 14 neonatal nurses. The method of sampling employed was total sampling. The tool used was the Caring Behaviors Assessment Tool Nursing Version Short Form (CBAN-SF) to evaluate nurses' views on caring behavior, comprising 27 questions. The findings indicated that the average perception of nurses' caring behavior was 124, with a standard deviation of 9.24. The key elements in caring behavior were the supportive/protective/corrective environment (factor 5) and the assistance for human needs factor (factor 6). This was succeeded by humanism/faith-hope/sensitivity (factor 1), assistance/trust (factor 2), expression of positive/negative emotions (factor 3), and education/learning (factor 4). In contrast, the least was in the existential/phenomenological/spiritual forces factor (factor 7). This research suggests ongoing observation of nurses' caregiving actions as a foundation for enhancing services in the maternity unit.
