One of the radiation protection efforts in radiology rooms is the use of a lead apron as personal protective equipment (PPE). To maintain its quality and protective function, regular feasibility testing must be conducted at least once a year. This study aims to determine the procedure and results of lead apron leakage testing conducted at Radiology Laboratory of Politeknik Al Islam Bandung in March 2024. This research is an experimental study. Data were collected through observation, leakage testing by exposing the surface of the lead apron divided into four quadrants using a conventional radiology unit, and analysis of the radiographic images obtained. The data were then observed, analyzed, and compared with the leakage standards set by BAPETEN to draw conclusions. Leakage testing was carried out on four lead aprons using a radiology unit and a 30 × 40 cm cassette divided into four quadrants to ensure full exposure of each apron. The results showed that lead apron 1 exhibited no leakage. Lead apron 2 had a leakage area of 51.05 mm², lead apron 3 showed poor condition with a leakage area of 3,418.27 mm², and lead apron 4 was severely damaged, ..
